This is my first post. I'll use it to save my daily bento box recipes and combinations. I hope you find it helpful. My first post is my usual three-color rice.

Ingredients and Instructions for Three-Color Ground Pork (Serves 2)

Scrambled Egg

  • Raw Eggs
    2
    Sugar
    2 teaspoons (6g)
    Mayonnaise
    A Little (2g)
    Salad Oil
    A Little (2g)
    • Crack a raw egg and add sugar and mayonnaise

    • Add salad oil and, without turning on the heat, add 1

    • Use about four chopsticks held vertically to break up the egg over low heat. Continue until the liquid is gone.

Husband

I think the trick is to put both the scrambled eggs and the minced pork into the frying pan before turning on the heat. You don’t have to rush it.

Wife

The low heat at the beginning is also key!

Stir-fried Komatsuna

  • Komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach)
    Half a bag
    Soy sauce
    A little (2g)
    Mirin (sweet rice wine)

    A little (1g)

    Sesame oil
    A little (2g)
    • Finely chop the komatsuna.

    • Sauté the komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) in sesame oil.

    • Once cooked, season with soy sauce and mirin.

    • Finally, mix in bonito flakes and sesame seeds.

Ground Pork

  • Ground Pork
    200g
    Soy Sauce
    1 tablespoon (15g)
    Sugar
    1 tablespoon (10g)
    Mirin
    1 tablespoon (15g)
    Sake
    2 tablespoons (30g)
    • Without turning on the heat, add the ground pork and seasonings and mix.

    • Cook over medium-low heat. Stir in the same way as with scrambled eggs, using about four chopsticks to break it up vertically. Continue until the liquid is gone.
