    This time, I aimed for a simple, time-saving, 15-minute bento box using mostly frozen foods. I often include a cherry tomato because just one adds color and a fresh feel.

Ingredients and Instructions for Fried Rice (2 servings)

Fried Rice

  • Rice
    1 cup
    Sausage
    2 pieces
    Egg
    1 piece
    Green onion
    5cm
    MSG
    3 shakes
    Chicken stock
    2 teaspoons (10g)
    Salt and pepper
    a pinch
    Soy sauce
    1 teaspoon (5g)
    • Mix the rice with the egg, green onions, sliced ​​sausage, and all seasonings except soy sauce.

    • If it starts to burn, mix it, and repeat.

    • Once it’s browned all over, drizzle with soy sauce and it’s done when the aroma is released.

This time, for the fried rice, I mixed in the egg first. I think the trick to fried rice is to fry it until it’s slightly burnt.

You’re really particular about the burnt parts, lol. If you fry it thoroughly until it’s slightly burnt, the moisture evaporates and it becomes fluffy.

Sweet and Spicy Lotus Root

  • Lotus Root
    250g
    Potato Starch
    1 tablespoon (15g)
    Soy Sauce, Mirin, Soy Sauce, Sake
    1.5 tablespoons (25g)
    Toasted Sesame Seeds
    A Little
    • Peel the lotus root and cut it into ginkgo leaf shapes about 1cm thick.

    • 1Coat with potato starch.

    • Once the lotus root is cooked, add the seasonings and stir-fry until thickened.

    • Finally mix in sesame seeds and it’s done.
