This time, I aimed for a simple, time-saving, 15-minute bento box using mostly frozen foods. I often include a cherry tomato because just one adds color and a fresh feel.
Mix the rice with the egg, green onions, sliced sausage, and all seasonings except soy sauce.
If it starts to burn, mix it, and repeat.
Once it’s browned all over, drizzle with soy sauce and it’s done when the aroma is released.


HusbandThis time, for the fried rice, I mixed in the egg first. I think the trick to fried rice is to fry it until it’s slightly burnt.
Microwave one beef croquette and one mixed vegetable spring roll for about 50 seconds at 600W.

WifeThere are so many different kinds of frozen foods, it’s fun. Eating frozen foods is fun too.
Fry the sausage until browned, then add a little soy sauce at the end.


Peel the lotus root and cut it into ginkgo leaf shapes about 1cm thick.
1Coat with potato starch.
Once the lotus root is cooked, add the seasonings and stir-fry until thickened.
Finally mix in sesame seeds and it’s done.



You’re really particular about the burnt parts, lol. If you fry it thoroughly until it’s slightly burnt, the moisture evaporates and it becomes fluffy.
